We are seeking a compassionate and reliable live-in carer to support a friendly, sociable lady in a beautiful rural moorland setting in Devon.
This is a companionship-led placement, ideal for a carer who enjoys outings, conversation, and providing calm support in a peaceful countryside environment.
👵 About the Client:
- Sociable and enjoys conversation and company
- Experiences significant hearing loss (uses bilateral hearing aids)
- Visually impaired
- Some age-related forgetfulness (no formal diagnosis)
- Enjoys reading (large print) and watching television
- Mobilises with a wheeled walking frame, also uses a stick and a kitchen aid
- Independent with nighttime commode use, may occasionally need reassurance
- Has an ensuite wet room
🩺 Care & Support Responsibilities:
- Meal preparation
- Companionship and emotional support
- Light household tasks
- Monitoring and assisting with personal care and medication
- Supporting shopping and appointments (cash float provided)
- Providing reassurance during showering
- Supporting outings and day trips, including weekly market visits
- Driving for outings (client prefers staying in the car during trips)
