We are seeking an experienced and compassionate live-in carer to support a lady living with Alzheimer’s Dementia in a peaceful rural village in Devon.
This is a structured, companionship-led placement, ideal for a carer who can provide routine, reassurance, and gentle guidance while encouraging independence.
👵 About the Client:
- Living with Alzheimer’s Dementia affecting memory and task sequencing
- Aware of her condition but generally not distressed
- Enjoys company, conversation, and gentle interaction
- Responds well to a calm, proactive, and engaging approach
🚶♀️ Mobility & Daily Living:
- Mobilises with a walking stick indoors and outdoors
- Physically capable of most personal care tasks
- Requires prompting, supervision, and guidance due to memory loss
- Benefits from structured routines and consistency
🩺 Care & Support Responsibilities:
- Medication administration (with consent)
- Gentle prompting and supervision for personal care
- Encouraging daily activity and light exercise
- Providing companionship and meaningful conversation
- Accompanying to appointments and outings
- Supporting pet care (household cat)
- Encouraging enjoyable activities such as walks and café visits
