Would you enjoy a regular live-in care placement surrounded by the beautiful Devon countryside, supporting an independent lady who values good company and a reassuring presence?
We are looking for a kind, patient, and considerate Live-In Carer to support a lovely lady in her own home close to the Devon Moors.
This is a particularly attractive placement for a carer who enjoys companionship-based care, peaceful surroundings, and helping someone maintain as much independence as possible.
🌷 About the Client
Our client previously worked in healthcare and remains an independent and capable lady.
She enjoys:
- Reading large-print books
- Good conversation and companionship
- Going out for drives
- Maintaining her familiar routines
- Remaining as independent as possible within her own home
She experiences some hearing and eyesight loss and mainly mobilises using a wheeled walking frame, alongside a wheeled kitchen aid and walking stick.
Her mobility around the home remains relatively good.
💕 The Support
You’ll provide:
- Supervision and reassurance due to reduced eyesight
- Gentle prompts, reminders, and monitoring
- Medication prompts while the client continues administering her own medication
- Monitoring and prompting around pain management
- Reassurance and nearby supervision while showering
- Support to maintain independence with washing and dressing
- Availability if assistance is required during the night
- Meal preparation
- Light household support
- Companionship and conversation
- Occasional drives and outings
The client independently uses her commode during the night but may occasionally require assistance.
🚗 Outings & Companionship
The client enjoys getting out for an occasional drive and appreciates a change of scenery.
She generally prefers to remain in the car rather than enter shops, making this ideal for a carer who enjoys relaxed countryside drives and companionship rather than a busy schedule of activities.
🏡 Carer Accommodation
You’ll have comfortable private accommodation including:
- Twin-bedded bedroom
- Private bathroom
- Access to the client’s ensuite wet-room facilities as appropriate

We’d love to hear from someone who is:
- Experienced in Live-In Care
- Calm, patient, and reassuring
- Confident supporting visual and hearing impairment
- Comfortable, encouraging independence rather than taking over
- Attentive and able to recognise when additional support is required
- A good home cook
- Friendly and a good conversationalist
- Happy living in a peaceful countryside environment
- Reliable and looking for a regular 3 weeks on / 3 weeks off rotation
