Are you an experienced Live-In Carer who enjoys genuine companionship, intelligent conversation and supporting someone to remain independent?

We are looking for a kind, friendly and sociable Live-In Carer to support a lovely lady in Cornwall. With several return dates available, this is a particularly attractive opportunity for a carer who would like to get to know one client and provide continuity over a number of placements.

🌷 About the Client

Our client is a lovely, sociable lady who:

Enjoys going out and about
Values conversation and social interaction
Mobilises using walking aids or a rollator
Uses the bathroom independently
Can be safely left alone while the carer takes their breaks
Experiences occasional periods of anxiety and depression
Benefits from gentle reassurance and companionship
Has alert mats in place for additional reassurance and safety

The client lives downstairs, while the carer has use of the upstairs area, providing valuable personal space during the placement.

💙 The Role

You’ll provide:

Friendly companionship and meaningful conversation
Gentle reassurance during periods of anxiety or low mood
Support with outings and activities
Encouragement to remain active and independent
A calm, reliable and reassuring presence
Support that respects the client’s established routines and preferences

A driver with their own car is essential, as the vehicle will be important for helping the client get out and enjoy activities.

🏡 Carer Space & Breaks

The client lives downstairs
The carer has use of the upstairs area
The client can be safely left alone during carer breaks
The placement offers a good balance between companionship and personal space

The December placement runs from 23rd December 2026 to 6th January 2027.

Double pay applies on:

25th December
28th December
