Live in Care Wiveliscombe
At Live In Care Wiveliscombe, we offer high-quality, one-to-one live-in care that allows older adults to remain in their own home with comfort, dignity, and peace of mind. As a family-run care provider, not a franchise, we’ve proudly served Somerset’s rural and market town communities since 2014.
Our experienced carers live with the people they support, providing 24-hour assistance that includes personal care, mobility help, medication support, dementia care, and companionship. All care is tailored to meet the individual’s needs, personality, and daily routine — delivered with consistency and genuine compassion.
We proudly serve Wiveliscombe and the surrounding West Somerset villages, including:
Langley Marsh, Milverton, Waterrow, Chipstable, Clatworthy, Petton, Huish Champflower, Bathealton, and across the Brendon Hills.
We understand the unique character of Wiveliscombe’s close-knit community and rural setting. Our carers help clients stay active and socially connected by supporting involvement with trusted local groups and services such as:
Wivey Community Centre – Hosting coffee mornings, wellbeing activities, and older people’s events.
Wivey Link Community Transport – Helping clients access medical appointments, shopping trips, and social activities.
Wivey Memory Café – A supportive space for those living with memory loss and their carers.
10 Parishes Men’s Shed – Encouraging friendship, skills-sharing, and inclusion for older men in Wiveliscombe.
Age UK Somerset (Taunton Deane) – Offering fitness, befriending, and advice services that extend into Wivey’s rural villages.
Milverton & District Garden Club  – Popular rural social groups promoting wellbeing, accessible to clients in the area.
When you choose Live In Care Wiveliscombe, you’re choosing a team that knows the local area, values relationships, and offers real continuity. We take the time to get to know our clients and their families — offering a reliable alternative to agencies or franchises.
The service is professional, efficient, friendly, and respectful. Nothing appears too much trouble. They made a prompt and accurate assessment of my mother’s needs and quickly identified a fantastic carer. When they had concerns about my mother’s health the service manager made a personal visit to check that everything was being done that needed to be done.
Live In Care has been brilliant. My mother had a fall and could no longer manage on her own. From the first assessment appointment, all the members of staff have been both super friendly and professional, they are always responsive, and their work is focused clearly on ensuring that Mum is happy. The carers have been extremely conscientious, and Mum now has a longer-term carer whom she feels thoroughly spoilt by. I still can’t quite believe that Mum is being taken care of so well. It has been a huge relief, and I am so glad and grateful that I found Live In Care.
Moving to live-in care at home was such a big decision for the family and we wanted to make sure we got it right for Mum and Dad. From the first instance when we made the call to Live in Care it felt right, their understanding and empathy was evident, and they gave great advice too. We’re so pleased we made the right decision, and our parents are the happiest they’ve ever been, safe at home with wonderful care.
Thank you, Live in Care, for enabling Mum to spend her last day at home, where she wanted to be. This has been a great comfort to us all and we couldn’t have asked for better care in the last few weeks.
We tried other companies first but there were so many changes, and it all became too much for Mum, not knowing who would be there to help her. Since we chose Live in Care, she’s been so much happier.
