We are seeking a caring and compassionate live-in carer to provide one-to-one support to a gentleman in Honiton, Devon, during a period when his wife is undergoing surgery. This is a lovely opportunity to build a connection with a kind couple — with potential for a longer-term or couple carer placement in future.

👴 About the Clients:

Married for 44 years, this couple share a deep bond
The gentleman is chatty, humorous, and warm, but occasionally emotional when speaking about his wife
Former gardener, now limited physicall,y but still enjoys watching the world go by
Loves visiting the local pub for coffee, but requires wheelchair assistance for the journey back (uphill)

🩺 Health & Care Needs:

Diagnosed with COPD – becomes breathless with exertion
Uses a Zimmer frame – transfers must be monitored closely
Requires assistance with dressing
Applies medication independently, but needs help with topical creams
Soft/blended diet due to swallowing difficulties
Client vapes indoors – carer must be comfortable with this
