We are seeking a compassionate, experienced, and positive Live-In Carer to support a wonderful lady in Devon who enjoys good conversation, companionship, and staying actively engaged in the things she loves.
This is an ideal placement for a carer who enjoys building meaningful relationships and supporting someone to continue enjoying life with dignity, independence, and humour.
👵 About the Client
Our client is a warm, engaging lady with a wonderful sense of humour and a young-at-heart outlook on life.
She particularly enjoys conversation around:
- Agriculture and country life
- Ballroom dancing
- Ice skating
A carer with an interest in any of these subjects would be a fantastic match.
🩺 Health & Support Needs
- Living with Parkinson’s
- Time-specific medication regimen
- Arthritis affecting her hands
- Good vision
- Clear verbal communication
- Hearing loss supported by bilateral hearing aids
♿ Mobility & Care Requirements
- Hoisted for all transfers using a ceiling track hoist and an in-situ sling
- Strong manual handling skills essential
- Morning carers attend daily to:
- Provide personal care
- Assist with hoisting into her chair
The Live-In Carer will provide support with:
- Medication administration
- Companionship and conversation
- Daily routines and active support
- Emotional encouragement and reassurance
- General household assistance
