End of Life Care At Home
Compassionate End-of-Life Support, Guided by Your Choices
What to expect with end of life Care
There has always been a slight taboo about discussing what happens as we approach the end stages of our life; it is better to be realistic and share our wishes in advance, where possible, to ensure you have the proper care and support in place that meets your wishes and preferences. We can provide you with additional information around planning and what to expect as you enter the end stages of life.
End-of-life care is for people in the last months or years of their lives. Our care will help you remain in familiar surroundings with your loved ones around you, day and night. We will help you to live as well as possible until you die with dignity.
Live in Care works alongside other professionals to ensure you are comfortable, any pain is managed, as are any other symptoms, and you receive the best quality of integrated care. These can include hospice palliative care teams, district nurses, GPs, and specialist nurses, such as those from Marie Curie and Macmillan.
Our live-in carers are trained and experienced to support you until your final days. We will be there to support your family and loved ones, too.
Our highly experienced support team are on hand 24 hours a day to support our carers.
We believe there is such a thing as a good death, with dignity and compassion, in the comfort of your own home.
Knowing that Dad has two regular carers, that know his needs, preferences and little idiosyncrasies has given the family total peace of mind. This is what sets Live in Care above the rest of the companies we considered.
How thoughtful it was for you to send the templates of Van Gogh’s masterpieces for my wife to paint. It was so kind of you and whilst my wife can no longer create her own masterpieces, I know she’ll enjoy these, and they will provide some stimulation.
When we chose Live in Care for Dad it was because the Care Manager made all the difference professionally from other companies we’d considered, she gave amazing guidance and advice not only around care but quality of life, social interaction and possible funding.
The service is professional, efficient, friendly, and respectful. Nothing appears too much trouble. They made a prompt and accurate assessment of my mother’s needs and quickly identified a fantastic carer. When they had concerns about my mother’s health the service manager made a personal visit to check that everything was being done that needed to be done.
The impact that Anna has made on the health and wellbeing for Mum and Dad has been staggering. Dad, who never gives praise easily, has described her as marvellous.
