We’re seeking a kind and reliable live-in carer to support a gentleman in Taunton with a deep love for cars and motorsport. He is keen to maintain his independence and routine, while benefiting from companionship and structured support following the loss of his wife.

👨‍🦳 About the Client:

Mobilises with a rollator
On some days, requires assistance with transfers using a Return 7500 and a belt
Uses a profiling bed, riser recliner, and wheeled commode
Can be safely left alone during carer breaks
Emotionally adjusting to bereavement
Former racing driver with a lifelong passion for motorsport
Dreams of visiting a racetrack again

🛠️ Role Responsibilities:

Provide full-time live-in care and companionship
Support with catheter care, medication, and meal preparation
Assist with mobility and transfers using relevant aids
Offer emotional support and reassurance
Maintain safety, encourage routine, and provide engaging conversation
Liaise with the family, who provide cover every Friday

🚘 Driving Details:

The client owns two cars:
- One available for the carer to use
- One kept for display/show
Driving is preferred but not essential

🏠 Accommodation:

Comfortable private live-in space
